United States Geological Survey releases new topographical maps of California, Louisiana and Mississippi.

The United States Geological Survey has this week released new 7.5 minute quadrangle maps covering the states of California, Louisiana and Mississippi under the US Topo scheme. These maps are free to download from the USGS Store in PDF format.

The US Topo scheme allows users to choose layers to be included in the printed maps, including roads, contour lines, hydrogeographic features etc. The series now covers 44 states of the US.
