The Olympic Dam Mine is the world's fourth largest copper mine and largest uranium mine, with 70% of its income coming from copper, 25% from uranium and 5% from other metals (principally gold and silver). The mine has faced criticism from environmental groups due to the amount of water it uses, but is considered a modern well equipped mine with a good safety record.
