Pipeline explosion in northwest Minnesota.

Several families have been evacuated from their homes following an explosion on a natural gas pipeline  near Warren in Marshall County in northwest Minnesota, slightly before 6.30 am local time on Monday 26 May 2014. Witnesses reported seeing flames rising 30 m into the air, and hearing a sound like a jet engine. The fire extinguished itself after the gas supply to the Viking Gas Transmission Company operated pipeline was disconnected. There are no reports of any injuries arising from the incident, the evacuations being purely precautionary in nature.
